Constant Force Balance Single Coil with 1/2 Width - 9 lbs

This stainless steel spring is designed for tilt windows. It regulates the movement of your window sash with a specially calibrated coil spring that allows the window to stay open when lifted and closed when lowered. Each individual coil balance can support up to 9 pounds and is combined with other coils to bear the total weight of the sash. These coils are interchangeable and can be used for either the left or right side of the window. This product includes the coil only, housing and hardware are not included.

Example: For a 16 lb window sash with single constant force balances, two 8 lb coils are needed - one for each side to support the entire weight of the sash. For a 16 lb window sash with tandem constant force balances, four 4 lb coils are required - two for each side to support the entire weight of the sash.
