The 37 Series is a standard coil spring window balance designed for residential window applications. Featuring a 17/32" channel depth, these balances can be used in single, tandem, or triple case applications. The balance weights are evenly divided, meaning if your sash weighs 14lbs, you would need one 7lb balance on each side.
To select the correct coil spring balance, start by determining the weight of the balances needed by either weighing the sash or looking at the stamp on the balance. The number printed on the plastic housing is the balance weight.
These balances are sold as a complete system, including the coils and pivot lock shoe, based on the weight obtained in the first step. If you need help configuring your coil spring balance system, please reach out to us before placing your order.
Additional information: - Balances are sold individually unless otherwise noted. - AAMA Class 3 Verified Component. - For optimal performance, we recommend replacing both balances at the same time for tandem applications. - Tandem (2 Coils) balances are rated for 12lbs.
