Constant Force Balance Single Coil, 1/2 Wide - 4 lbs

Perfect for tilt windows, this stainless steel spring is designed to regulate the operation of your window sash with a specially calibrated coil spring. This unique design allows the window to easily stay open when raised and securely shut when closed. Each individual coil balance in this spring can support up to 4 pounds, and when combined with other coils, it can effectively handle the weight of the entire sash. These coils are interchangeable, making them suitable for use on either the left or right side of the window. Please note that this product includes the coil only, housing, and hardware are not included. Constructed from durable stainless steel, this spring measures 1/2" thick and is compatible with tilt windows. It is specifically designed to work with our 31 Series Constant Force Coil Spring Balances and is stamped with weight for easy identification. For example, if you have a 16 lb window sash and are using single (one coil) constant force balances, you will need two 8 lb coils - one for each side to balance the weight of the sash. If you are using tandem (double coil) constant force balances, you will need four 4 lb coils - two for each side to evenly distribute the weight of the sash.
