Constant Force Balance Single Coil - 6 lbs

This stainless steel spring is designed for tilt windows to help regulate the movement of the window sash. It is equipped with a specially calibrated coil spring that allows the window to stay open when raised and securely closed when shut. Each individual coil balance is capable of holding up to 6 pounds, and when combined with other coils, they are able to support the entire weight of the sash. These coils can be used interchangeably on either the left or right side of the window. Please note that this listing includes the coil only, and housing and hardware are not included.

Constructed from durable stainless steel, this spring measures 1/2" thick and is compatible with tilt windows. It is also compatible with our 31 Series Constant Force Coil Spring Balances and is stamped with weight for easy identification.

For example, if you have a 16 lb window sash and are using single (one coil) constant force balances, you will need two 8 lb coils (one for each side) to support the weight of the entire sash. If you are using tandem (double coil) constant force balances, a 16 lb window sash will require four 4 lb coils (two for each side) to equal the total weight of the sash.
