Constant Force Balance Single Coil, 1/2 Wide - 8 lbs

Introducing a stainless steel spring designed for tilt windows, this specific coil balance is calibrated to ensure smooth operation of your window sash. The coil spring allows the window to stay open when raised and securely shut when closed. Each individual coil balance is capable of holding up to 8 pounds, and when combined with other coils, supports the total weight of the sash. These coils are versatile and can be used on either the left or right side of the window. Please note that this product includes the coil only; housing and hardware are not included. The durable stainless steel construction ensures longevity and reliability. Measuring 1/2" thick, this stainless steel spring is compatible with tilt windows and our 31 Series Constant Force Coil Spring Balances. Each coil is stamped with its weight for easy identification. For example, a 16 lb window sash equipped with single constant force balances (one coil per side) will require two 8 lb coils. In contrast, a 16 lb window sash with tandem constant force balances (double coil per side) will require four 4 lb coils. In both cases, the coils on each side work together to support the entire weight of the sash.
